Rick Dumont is a performer who has embodied a wide range of characters over his 20 years as an actor of both stage and screen. His performances have included working opposite: Kal Penn in Deadbeat, Sarah Sherman on SNL, Jose Gonsalves (New Amsterdam, Billions) in the independent webseries Dystopia: Capitol City, David J. Curtis (Dexter: New Blood, The Holdovers) in the independent film, American Dream and most recently Angus Benfield (NCIS: LA) in his powerful military PTSD film, The Keeper and Rosario Dawson in the upcoming film, Midnight.
He got his start, in 2001, on stage playing juror #11, the immigrant juror, in a production of 12 Angry Men and received numerous complimentary comparisons to Andy Kaufman’s character Latka Gravas from members of the audience. He was then cast as the lead by two different theatres, in productions of Picnic and Sense and Sensibility. Since then Rick has gone on to perform in numerous episodics and films and has led an improv troupe for non-profit fundraising events and community gatherings.
As a performer Rick enjoys diving deep into multilayered characters who have a complexity to them. His preacting life as a 911 dispatcher and investigative journalist, work with survivors of domestic and sexual abuse, unhoused people gives him a deep pool of experiences from which to draw from when developing a compelling embodiment of a character.
He also has done numerous voiceover jobs from being the voice of the NH Humane Society in their adoption promotions, commercials and the No Epilogue Productions Poetry Project.
